Neurobion Nerve Supplement Dosage: How Much B6 Is Too Much?

Quick answer

Neurobion nerve supplement dosage is set by that product's own label, and we have not verified what it says. B1, B6 and B12 combinations differ by brand and country. The adult upper limit for vitamin B6 is 100 mg a day, since too much can cause neuropathy. Nervecept has no B vitamins.

What is the Neurobion nerve supplement dosage?

Read the dose on that product's own label and package insert. We have no verified facts about its label, so we will not state a number.

B1, B6 and B12 combinations are sold under many names. The amounts differ between brands, forms and countries.

Check three lines: the milligrams of B6, the micrograms of B12, and how many units make a serving. Then add up every other product you take that lists B6. NCCIH warns that labels may not match what is inside (NCCIH, Using Supplements Wisely).

How much vitamin B6 is safe in a day?

The adult Tolerable Upper Intake Level is 100 mg a day. It was set to prevent sensory neuropathy (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6).

The daily need is far smaller, 1.3 to 1.7 mg for adults. The NIH Office of Dietary Supplements says long-term doses of 1 to 6 g a day caused severe nerve damage, and some reports describe it below 500 mg a day (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6).

Can B6 supplements cause nerve damage?

Yes. Too much vitamin B6 can cause neuropathy: numbness, tingling or burning. Symptoms usually fade after stopping (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6).

Australia's TGA counted 250 reports of nerve problems linked to B6 products by October 31, 2025. Since March 2022, products over 10 mg a day must warn users to stop if tingling, burning or numbness occurs. From June 1, 2027, oral products over 50 mg up to 200 mg a day become Pharmacist Only, and over 200 mg stays prescription-only (TGA, Vitamin B6 safety update).

Stop the product and call a doctor if those signs appear:

  1. Sudden one-sided numbnessArm, leg or face, on one side of the body
  2. Face drooping, slurred speechOr trouble understanding speech
  3. Bladder or bowel changesLost control with back pain or numb inner thighs
  4. Weakness that spreadsGetting much worse over hours or days
  5. A foot sore that will not healOr a red, hot, swollen foot

SoonTingling, burning or numbness in the feet or hands that lasts more than a few weeks, keeps you up at night, or comes with diabetes, heavy drinking or chemotherapy: book a doctor visit and ask about B12 and blood sugar tests.

Call 911For sudden numbness or weakness on one side, a drooping face, trouble speaking, or sudden loss of bladder or bowel control.

Causes and warning signs from NINDS (NINDS, Peripheral Neuropathy) and MedlinePlus (MedlinePlus, Sciatica); foot sores from CDC (CDC, Your Feet and Diabetes).

Why do doctors check B12 before you take a combination?

Because B12 shortage is a known cause of numbness and tingling, and a blood test can show it. Metformin and long-term acid reducers can lower B12 (NIH ODS, Vitamin B12).

NINDS lists B12 shortage and excess B6 as causes of neuropathy (NINDS, Peripheral Neuropathy). Your doctor can tell which applies.

How is Nervecept different from a B vitamin combination?

Nervecept has no vitamin B1, B6 or B12. The capsule's eight lines are glucosamine sulfate, boswellia, chondroitin, turmeric, quercetin, methionine, MSM and bromelain.

It adds no B6 to your daily total. It does contain shellfish (crayfish). The sales page lists the packs at $79, $69 or $49 a bottle, with a 60-day guarantee (Nervecept sales page). See the ingredients page.

FAQ01

Nervecept questions people ask

Can I take a B-complex and a B1, B6, B12 combination together?

Ask a pharmacist first. Both may hold B6, and amounts add up toward the 100 mg a day upper limit.

Is the B6 limit different for older adults?

Our sources give one adult limit of 100 mg a day. Older adults absorb B12 less well, so ask your doctor about testing.

Does vitamin B12 have an upper limit?

NIH has set no upper limit for B12. The adult daily need is 2.4 mcg. B6 is the one with a limit.

What should I do if my feet tingle after starting a B vitamin?

Stop the product and call a doctor. Tingling, burning or numbness can be a sign of too much B6.
